XL snack boards the new trend

Snack tables have gotten huge!

Yes, you heard it right, gone are those little trays with four cheeses cut into long strips and a bit of ham with bread on the side. Appetizer tables or "Boards" are a great resource to present food in an attractive and original way at your next party. You will see that it is super easy, it is not necessary to cook well, it is all a matter of knowing how to choose the elements well.

You need a large support, hopefully a very large table, it must be the right size so that you can place EVERYTHING you are going to offer in one place. Gone are the mini bowls on snack tables.

In short, it is about strategically placing different appetizers, forming a cheerful composition, orderly chaos... Tables with sweets, fruits or vegetables are also ideal. There are real "Candy Boards" artists on Instagram.

choice of table

The choice of table is important. If you can't find large boards you can always buy a wooden board at a hardware store. I did it, I bought a pine 1.80 long by 30 wide and it was a show.

In the shop we have a new collection of Boards of different colors and ideal shapes. They come folded and with different finishes. Take a look at the collection of tables and boards for appetizers.

appetizer ideas

I leave you a list with some ideas of appetizers that are cute to add to your table. The most important thing is the variety and quality of the products.

Cheeses of all kinds
Cheese is the king of appetizers. You can add all kinds of cheeses, cut into strips, squares or even those that allow it, such as Parmesan, broken into pieces with a knife as a punch. I love adding a Swiss cheese called Tête de Moine that is cut into a flower shape with a simple tool that you can find at the same store you buy it from. There are even places that sell it already cut in the shape of a flower on trays. It's worth it, it looks perfect and it's great!

Fresh food, vegetables and fruit
Add something light like cherry tomatoes, carrots, and shredded celery and radishes. Choose cheerful colors for your snack tables . Adding seedless grapes and whole strawberries near the cheese is a safe bet.

sausages and ham
Of all kinds and always cut. I like to place ham like mountains, nothing orderly… When everything is so orderly, it gives me the feeling that no one dares to eat it.

foi

The Foi is passion at home, I put it directly, as is with a knife to serve next to it.

cans
Anchovies, cockles, razor clams, mussels, sardines... I like to put them in their can as is among the rest of the appetizers. It will give a modern touch to your table.

bread and nuts
All kinds of cookies, sticks, picks and bread cutting into slices. The type varies, it will be prettier… I am a fan of nuts and pistachios. I love how they fill in empty spaces on the snack boards.

olives and olives
You always release directly on the board. I wish boneless, if not a bowl on the side for bones.

Humus or sauces for "Dipping"
Easy and healthy, I am a big fan of all kinds of hummus. I like them in cute containers in the middle of the table with different flavored hummus. There are plenty of recipes for great fresh dips as a spread. I make a lot of a cool Philadelphia cheese sauce with mustard and a little bit of olive oil, very good.

Decoration and details
Add an olive tree, a twig from the garden or a flower. This nonsense will make it look super original and professional. Another idea is to add a marker to indicate the name of the cheeses, mark allergens, gluten or put a note like "Self service". Skewers or toothpicks are always welcome.

I hope these tips help you and that you share with us your table of appetizers for your next party.
