Baked Brie with Blueberries and Pecans

Today I'm sharing a very easy and delicious appetizer, perfect for your Christmas celebrations. You can add toast and different types of bread to accompany your appetizer platter.
Ingredients:
-
1 round Brie cheese (about 200g)
-
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (30 g)
-
¼ cup chopped pecans (25 g)
-
¼ cup dried cranberries (30 g)
-
1 tablespoon of honey (15 ml)
-
1 sheet of puff pastry dough (optional, about 250g)
-
Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
-
Toast, crackers or sliced baguette-type bread to accompany
Preparation:
-
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
-
If you're using puff pastry, roll it out and wrap the Brie cheese, sealing the edges well. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. If you're not using puff pastry, simply place the cheese directly on the tray.
-
In a small skillet, melt the butter and add the pecans. Toast them over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Add the cranberries and honey, and mix well.
-
Pour this mixture over the Brie (whether wrapped in puff pastry or not).
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the cheese is soft and begins to melt slightly.
-
Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary and serve immediately with bread rolls or toast.
