Free Printables and DIY Ideas for Halloween

Halloween night is just around the corner! We are already thinking about how to decorate the house and some fun crafts to do with the little ones.

This DIY plant-monster reminded me of growing lentils in a mason jar with cotton wool. It can be a lot of fun for kids to make this craft ahead of time, first print the stickers, make our monster jars, and plant a few lentils: some on soil and some on damp cotton. Day after day the lentils will grow bigger and bigger and on Halloween they will be ready to place in the house as decoration.

Another very easy and very successful idea that children may love is to paint scary faces with black markers on orange and white latex balloons like these. Use plain balloons and decorated with black permanent markers or stickers. You can inflate them with helium or air and tie them to a Balloon Holder Stick.

And what about these shortbread cookies? You will only need a tulip-shaped cutter and white fondant or royal icing. An easy idea to decorate your cookies for a Halloween snack. It will almost be worth eating them!
