A Frozen snack for Olivia
Several days ago I had to show you the photos of the snack that I prepared for Olivia and her friends at home. We had already had a birthday party with a group of friends from the class a couple of weeks before her birthday, but I promised her that we would throw a small snack for friends at home on her birthday after school. She, like almost all girls her age, is crazy about Frozen, the Disney movie. He asked me that the snack had at least "some" of Frozen. And I got to work, I wanted to have a simple party but with many details.
To decorate a Frozen party there are some things that cannot be missing... turquoise, a lot of white and some fuchsia. Large amounts of glitter, some elements and food that give the sensation of cold.
I am very lucky that my daughters' room is large and they have a desk to do homework that I turned into a table for snacks.
The party was centered on that table. The girls had snacks on hand so they could play all afternoon to their heart's content in Olivia's Room. I put a water dispenser that I bought on a trip (Yes, exactly what you think, I brought the dispenser back in my suitcase...), so they could help themselves to water. This was the most!
The day before, with my daughters, I decorated the domed glasses in the store with some stickers of hearts full of Glitter in the colors that I was telling you about. The turquoise striped paper straws matched perfectly!
I had a white cloth tablecloth at home and to give the table a bit of color I put the Chevron tissue paper in mint green as a table runner. It wasn't exact turquoise but I loved how it turned out.
I used Caspari's turquoise paper plates that have a Moiré finish that makes them extra special. The cookies, which Larysa made for Olivia this year, were once again the center of the table. They were turquoise snowflakes with glitter and sugar pearls. When the girls saw them they couldn't believe it... they were so pretty.
The cake I made myself and the truth was very good. I'll tell you in case anyone is encouraged... I made a Yogurth Cake of a lifetime and I split it in half. Then I filled it with condensed milk and coconut. On the outside it is lined with white chocolate and coconut around the edges. On top I decorated it with some snowflakes and little stars made with Fondant dyed with Turquoise Food Paint. The coconut on the sides fell on the cake stand and gave the feeling of snow. Brilliant!
I took out the pictures they had on the wall and instead hung a "tangle" of turquoise honeycomb ball, turquoise, white and baby blue paper lanterns and some white snowflakes that just hit the web for Christmas. Below is a large, very shiny Happy Birthday in Blue Glitter from the My Little Day collection that gave it the final touch.
Turquoise glitter crowns for the princesses, sandwiches, glazed donuts, little balls decorated with stickers full of candies, a letter "O" decorated by Olivia this summer and of course Elsa from Frozen in the middle of the table.
Since it is not summer anymore and it starts to get dark soon I put a table lamp that illuminated and gave a tender touch to the table.
Anyway... I took these photos at 4 in the afternoon, before going to pick up all the Elsas who came to have a snack at home. They had a great time that afternoon and Olivia was happy to invite her 5 best friends over. I hope you like it and it inspires you. ;)
To assemble this table I have used the following products that you can find in our " Kingdom of Ice " collection
Turquoise small polka dot napkin
Blue glitter Happy Birthday garland
