Original ideas to decorate with crepe paper ribbons

Crepe paper ribbons or colored streamers are one of our latest additions to our Shop . We love everything you can do with them at weddings and parties of all kinds! From decorating a Candy Bar, Photocall or creating a cozy atmosphere full of color at your party and best of all, it is a very economical product that gives a lot of play. It is an alternative to garlands or tissue paper boas.

One of the ways in which you can use these simple ribbons is as a background for a photocall or to decorate some walls of the party. Take a look at these ideas: combine crepe paper ribbons of different colors, matching the tone of the party or mixing bright and cheerful colors.

You can put them in various ways, the easiest and most successful idea is to put them smooth, creating a curtain. Accompany the decoration with honeycomb balls and pompoms if you want to put it on the high ceiling or with balloons or lanterns and paper fans if your curtain is vertical.

Another nice and easy idea is to twist the ribbon every 30-40 cm creating some fun ringlets as they have done in this background proposal for the sweet table. If you opt for this option and you are a lover of DIY and different details at parties, we encourage you to try this same idea with extra difficulty: open two two-tone crepe paper ribbons and stick them on the side with white tail overlapping one over the other. When you have it dry, you can install it either smooth or playing with ringlets as they have done here.

If you don't just like the ribbons or streamers but you want to have a photocall full of color, we suggest this other DIY idea with Crepe paper: Cut out identical rectangles in three different colors and then cut the triangular tip of all of them. On the background that you want to decorate, you see pasting them alternating the colors and superimposing each row on the next. It will be a beautiful piñata effect!

Finally, another original idea for a wedding or a children's party (and not so children) is to create some wands with different colored ribbons. You can leave them on the tables for the moment you enter the banquet or simply as a detail for the party.
