Ideas and tips for decorating a First Communion in lilac tones

The time of the first communions is upon us and at La fiesta de Olivia we are ready to offer all the mothers who are in full swing with the preparations, everything you are looking for to decorate your children's First Communion. Today we bring you a lot of inspiration to celebrate a first communion for girls where lilac or lavender are the main color of the party.

A first communion in lilac and pink

If your daughter loves the purple color you can combine it with pale pink and white accents to have a fantastic party. In this case they have decorated the dessert table or Candy Bar with a background made of a group of pink and white tissue paper pompoms of different sizes and combined with lilac honeycomb balls.

If what you want is to achieve an effect similar to the one we are showing you, we advise you to decorate the table with a plain white tablecloth combined with a table runner that provides you with some color. If you don't want to complicate yourself with a fabric tablecloth, we recommend our TNT-type non-woven fabric tablecloths , a fantastic material that will give an ideal fabric-like effect.

You can set up a sweet table by combining food in the colors you have chosen. In this case, cookies decorated with lilac glaze, some Chinese boxes with labels so that each guest can assemble their own box of sweets as a souvenir of the party. Another great detail is to personalize the plastic bottles with matching lilac straws along with some cocktail-size napkins like these.

Look at the detail of the decoration of the paper straws... they have cut some lilac paper butterflies with one of our butterfly-shaped die-cutters and then they have glued them to each straw. A great detail!

Decorate your first communion in purple and yellow

Another very pretty combination for lavender tones is pastel or intense yellow and purple or lilac. Whether it is the first with the second or vice versa, this combination never fails. To decorate the party we opted to combine again some satin balloons with lilac pompoms of different sizes and yellow honeycomb balls . For the table, combine these two tones again: what do you think of some yellow straws with lilac patterned glasses and these yellow napkins with polka dots? We think it would be ideal.

An idea that always looks good is to place the sweet table on a table with open drawers, generating different heights and fun places to place your food. Always try that the table where you place the food is not large as it will take a lot of work to make it look visually complete. Yes, you can't get another one and it's big, use vases, pots, boxes, pastry chefs or anything that heightens the food, generating different areas on the table.

An idea to visually frame your dining table is to "lower the ceiling" by means of decorative elements that hang from the ceiling such as pompoms, garlands and honeycomb balls.
